Kevin Gerard Wille 39, of Whitefish, Mont., formerly of Guttenberg, died Monday, June 19, 2006 in his home as a result of a massive heart attack.

A funeral mass was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg, Monday, July 17, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Marvin Bries officiated. The family received friends one hour before service at the church. An inurned burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery followed the service.

Kevin was born the son of Lawrence and Margaret (Vaske) Wille, on May 17, 1967, in Dubuque.

He attended St. Mary's Catholic grade school and graduated from Guttenberg Community High School, in 1985. In 1997 Kevin earned a degree in marketing from Loras College, Dubuque. He then lived and worked in Chicago for C.H. Robinson Company and soon after was transferred to his dream location, Whitefish.

Kevin had a great love of the outdoors including: hunting, fishing, boating/swimming and snow skiing. He was devoted to his pet dogs, which were his constant companions. Kevin was an avid reader and gardener. He was a huge Viking and Iowa Hawkeye fan.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother; four sisters, Diane (Gary) Miller of South Jordan, Utah, Sharon (Shawn) Gates of Poulsbo, Wash., Sandy (Todd) Ortman of Brush Prairie, Wash., and Laura (David) Mann of West Des Moines; three brothers, Larry (Pam) Wille and Richard Wille, both of Guttenberg and Duane Wille of Dubuque; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother Dean Wille; and one nephew, Kevin Cates (infant).
